Winnie the Pooh

Mo's summer uniform has a Winnie the Pooh on its back and we all love it.
We took the new winter uniform home last week and I thought It's such a pity that there is no Winnie the Pooh on it.
Mo went into her room without saying anything.
Five minutes later, she came out the room with her uniform.
Now there is Winnie the Pooh and it's even better than the one for summer.

Noodle and Cup Cake

I spend a lot of time making plans for weekends and holidays.
However, it is always the family's company that makes the days memorable.
Here is one of those simple but great days without going somewhere or eating out.

The lunch for this nice sunny Sunday were home made noodles and cup cakes.
With my grandpa as our personal tutor, we did a pretty good job.
We saw him again excising in the park and walked home for dinner together before we were back to Taipei.

Bad Piggies

Last night, Mo and I sat in the living room comfortably and saw the news about a series of activities in Taipei for the launch of bad piggies, a new app game.

It was already 9 pm.
Mo turned to me right away and asked to see the bad piggies.
I told her it was all over now except that we might still have a chance to see the bad piggy shown on 101.
Well, I shouldn't add the last part about 101.

We ran out the door to catch the bus and got there like 10 minutes before the closing time.
Because of the excitement, all the pictures we took were out of focus.
Both of us went home with great satisfaction though.

Mo, here is another one of the crazy things that we did together.

Merry-Go-Round

Tea Time in Europe

Merry-Go-Round

Ferris Wheel

The merry-go-round goes round and round.
The children laughed and laughed and laughed.
So many were going round and round.
That the merry-go-round collapsed.

Mo has been singing this merry-go-round song that she learned in her English course for weeks.
I thought it would be fun to actually ride on one during the time.
Unfortunately, the drunkard ruined the weekend again, as he had done so many times in past 5 years.
All I can remember now is Jeff Kuhel is a total jerk.

Ma: The next song you are going to learn is "Jimmy Crack Corn"!
Ma: 下次要教的歌是 Jimmy Crack Corn 耶!

Mo: So are we going to crack some corn?
Mo: 所以我們下次要去 crack corn 嗎?

Ma: ...

The Art of The Brick in Taipei

I love LEGO. (Who doesn't?)
So of course I wouldn't miss the exhibition.
I know one thing after we saw it: nothing is limited.

I think Mo's favourite part was that Nathan Sawaya built himself a dog named "Boxer" with bricks when his parents refused to let him have a real one.
She took the DM to school and introduced every piece of works that we saw to her classmates the next day.
Mo got a big compliment for that and came home with a big smile.

Ghost Festival and Grandparents' Day

Offerings for Ghost Festival (a. k. a. Zhong Yuan Pu Du) and Pizza Making Party on Saturday Night

Grandparents' Day in Grandpa's New Favourite Restaurant on Sunday

The super star Mo had quite some performance this weekend and every one in the family was made to be her audience.
I hope I could finish editing those videos someday.
It was actually the first time that my grandpa heard of Grandparents' Day (the official one) though.

Lively and Lovely

Feb 2012
Mo danced in my Hunter boots.

Mo: Did you feel bored before I was born?
Mo: 你還沒把我生出來以前是不是覺得很無聊?

Ma: Why were I bored?
Ma: 為什麼我很無聊?

Mo: Because you didn't have such a lively and lovely little girl running around you!
Mo: 因為那時後你沒有一個這麼活潑可愛的小女孩在你旁邊跑來跑去丫!

Mo's Apple

One night, Mo asked me what the small lump on Wei Wei's neck is.
I told her that's Adam's apple, which is more prominent in grown men like Wei Wei.
A girl like mommy doesn't have it and she won't have it either.

Mo burst into tears because she wants one too.

I held my laughter and tried from reasoning to making something up like there is still a chance she might grow one later.
Mo didn't stop crying until I said I will make her a fake one.
I thought she would forget about it in the morning though.

I saw this thingy on her neck when I got home from work last night.
Mo proudly announced that it 's "Mo's apple" and she will wear this apple that my dad made forever.

The Midnight Accident and Taipei Zoo

Since Jeff crashed a lamp made of glass on my head last night while I was asleep, I figured that I needed a day off.
I took Mo to Taipei Zoo to see her favourite animals.
In the limited hours we had, we saw monkeys fought and elephants pooped.
I guess it was worthy.

Hot Hot Hot

The past week was just terrible.
It felt like every one around me pissed me off for something.
I didn't even spend that much time with Mo.
This is usually a sign that I need a whole new environment.

Things were getting better after I went to see "Ted" alone on Thursday night and had a good laugh.
I talked to some schoolmates and a old colleague on Friday.
Straightening few things out also cheered me up a little.

We spent the weekend in Taoyuan.
I woke up early on Sunday morning to attend grandpa Lee's baking lesson for pizza.
It was quite some quality time with my grandpa until princess Mo came to ask for her morning milk.
After few slices of pizza, crazy princess Mo went crazy in the park under 37°C flaming sun.
Mo passed out on my lap when the whole family enjoyed dinner together.

We took 7 colourful fishes back to Taipei.
I hope these little guys will last.

The 60th Anniversary

My grandpa came to us last night to tell us that he wants to buy each of his grandchildren a car.
This year, my grandpa and grandma will have been married for 60 years.
To celebrate the 60 years my grandparents had been together, they had a plan for a big family trip to Japan.
Since we won't be able to go to Japan all together now, my grandpa wants to spend the money for something that will remind us them when we use it.

Actually, my grandpa and  grandma had given us more than enough.
With or without a car, the love and the memories will always warm our hearts.

Super Moon/Treasure Hill Artist Village

Although it happens quite often, I hate it when we wake up in the afternoon and it's already too late to go anywhere or do anything.
In spite of  we left the house around 5 o'clock, I am glad that we made the most of it for the weekend.

I took Mo to Dr. Sun Yat-Sen Memorial Hall to play catch (in the dark) on Saturday.
It was the perfect spot to see the super moon.
We then had dinner in the Diner.

On Sunday, I tried to think of a place to go to please my mom who was totally bored at home.
This little village on the hill had attracted my mom's attention since 25 years ago on her way to work, which was also my way to school.
It's an artist village now with many cool arts.
Mo was quite excited leading the way up and down through the stairs.
I think my mom was quite satisfied too.

31

I like that old picture a lot.
We are lucky to have many pictures like that, from the time that I was a baby to the time that I have my own baby.

My 31st birthday was another great memory of my lifetime.
I just wish my grandma was there too.

I remember I usually gave something I drew or made as presents when I was little.
That, however, didn't apply to my 4-year-old daughter.
Mo asked Jeff to pay for the necklace and the bangle she picked for me from the store that I took her once before.
I like them both very much though.
I also got the bubble bath thingy from Jeff.

Egg Hunt on Easter Sunday

As we live in Taiwan, Easter doesn't really mean anything to us.
But still, the egg hunt on Easter Sunday would be a fun activity for Mo.
The first-time player Mo moved really slow as other big kids were like scouts spotting all the hidden eggs.
Eventually, Mo got her 8 eggs and we took 2 beautiful eggs that she drew home.

The schedule for Saturday was Eslite Bookstore-The Lorax-Night Market Steak.

Nice Weekend for Princess Mo

Princess Mo arrived home in the flying bath tub at the Saturday night.
We now have our own private hot spring.
I can't imagine the life without a bathtub.

We went to the beautiful campus of Taipei University of Arts on Sunday.
For some reason, I always try to play catch with Mo and Mo always plays by her own roles.
Anyway, we managed to satisfy everyone's need for a sunny afternoon.
